PETITE ANSE - ANSE A LA BARQUE
Petite Anse is a tiny beach, after leaving the town of Vieux Habitants and entering Bouillante. But before this beach you have to contemplate the superb Anse à la Barque.
When leaving Vieux Habitants, towards the North the road crosses the suburb of Marigot, before leading a magnificent sight l'Anse à La Barque which is the first spot of Bouillante..
There is no beach but a lovely semicircular cove with a small lighthouse at the back and palm trees at the edge of turquoise water.
A beautiful viewpoint on the northern side allows you to contemplate this postcard landscape.
Shortly after the Anse à la Barque, within a wide turn, a road on the left side descends towards Petite Anse. This beach does not seem attractive since there are plenty of rocks and boulders on all the shore even if it's getting better now.
But it is possible to get under the shade close to the trees, swimming is very enjoyable and extremely limpid shallow deeps are a real aquarium. Close to the edge many rocks host a lot of multicolored fishes, accessible with a simple mask.
You can also practice scuba diving, a company present on the beach offers some tours.
There are some amenities with showers, which is not always common in the region.
